Who operates PlayUp

PlayUp is operated by PlayUp. Questions and privacy requests can be submitted through the Contact page or emailed to info@creativnetworks.com.

Information we collect

We collect account details, contact information (including phone numbers you choose to provide), sport preferences, profile content and photos, bookings, match participation, scores, ratings, community posts and messages, device and service logs, and recording consent where relevant. Academy staff with court-management access can upload court cover photos for venue listings. PlayUp does not collect or store card or bank details while payment remains cash at the venue.

Location

If you choose “Use current location”, PlayUp accesses your device location to label your selected area and show nearby courts. You can instead search for or choose a location manually, and can replace the saved location at any time. Your selected coordinates are stored on your device for this preference; they are not uploaded to PlayUp's account database. When location search or reverse geocoding is used, the search term or coordinates and normal network request information are sent to the OpenStreetMap Foundation's Nominatim service to return place results. How we use information

We use this information to create and secure accounts, provide bookings and match features, operate leaderboards and rewards, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, improve reliability, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Sharing and service providers

Information is shared only when needed with participating venues or organizers, infrastructure and email providers, professional advisers, or authorities where legally required. Court photos are stored with Firebase Storage and shown with their venue listings. Location search and geocoding requests go to the OpenStreetMap Foundation's Nominatim service as described above. These providers handle the information under their own applicable terms and privacy practices.

Security and retention

Passwords are hashed. Session tokens are stored as hashes and sent using secure HTTP-only cookies. Access to management tools is role restricted. Information is kept only as long as needed for the service, safety, dispute handling, and applicable legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized where practical.

Recordings

When a game may be recorded, the booking flow requires acknowledgement before joining. Recording visibility is enforced on the server. Organizers and venues remain responsible for obtaining any additional consent required at the location.

Your choices and requests

You can update your profile and privacy preferences from Settings. You may request a copy of your information or request account deletion from Account and data. We may need to verify your identity and retain limited records where legally required.

Children

PlayUp is not intended for children under 16 without involvement and consent from a parent or legal guardian. Do not create an account if you cannot legally agree to these terms.

Changes

Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies from its effective date.
